Company History of Security America
Security America was created in 1982 in Charleston, West Virginia, by its owner and President, Bill Signorelli. With degrees in criminal justice and years of work in corrections and private security, Bill Signorelli believed that there was a better way to do things. He felt that there had to be a way to deliver security services efficiently while maintaining respect for both the consumer and the provider. Thus was born the firm's founding philosophy of "providing quality, professional services with integrity...establishing a success environment for our employees, our clients and our company."
Fostering a shared belief in this philosophy, Bill Signorelli began providing uniformed security officers for those first few businesses – businesses which had become frustrated by the impersonal treatment of the huge multinational security firms and the lack of consistency and dependability from the little "mom and pop" companies. Building on the promotion of "win-win" relationships and instilling his credo in all Security America employees, Bill nurtured his firm's growth until it had surpassed its competition to become the largest security company in West Virginia.
With the vision of establishing a regional presence, Security America has maintained business licenses in West Virginia and surrounding states through the years. Recently, contracts have developed in Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia and North Carolina. A belief in "...quality service with integrity..." has proven to be more than a local phenomenon; it is desired and appreciated by a frustrated market and managers seeking "peace of mind."
Security America has become a dynamic regional security service provider for the turn of the millennium.
