Charlie Ball: "Man of Honor"

The President's Lead by Bill Signorelli, CPP

March 27, 1992 was a very fortunate day for all of us. For that spring day, Charles C. Ball started contributing his talents to make Security America a better place. After retirement from the E.I DuPont Company's safety department, Charlie assumed the site security supervisor position for us at ACF Industries in Huntington, WV. He just didn't "show up for work" …he brought with him professionalism, high ethical standards, intuitive behavior, management knowledge, customer service orientation, diligence, hard working attitude, and, above all, his leadership skills.

Over the eighteen years that Charlie Ball has been with Security America, he has been recognized on numerous occasions:

  • Robert E. Zeitz Employee of the Year - 1992;
  • Employee of the Quarter - September, 1992;
  • Supervisor of the Year - Honorable Mentioned, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1999, 2000, 2004;
  • Supervisor of the Year - 1st Runner-Up, 1996;
  • Supervisor of the Year Award - 1997

At our December 10, 2009, annual awards luncheon, we honored Charlie by naming our yearly supervisor recognitions in his name. Hence, the recognitions are now referred as the

  • Charles C. Ball Supervisor 0f the Year Award"

It is my privilege to be able to call Charlie a true friend. Please join me in congratulating him on this well deserved recognition. Thanks Charlie!!!!
