Security Officers
An efficient, effective, well-trained security officer reflects positively on your company image and serves as a deterrent to crime and loss. Security America places emphasis on Pre-Service Training, which includes programs such as Patrolling, Fire Prevention, Legal Aspects of Security and any other training specific to a client's needs. Compliance standards are ensured by regularly scheduled In-Service Training and information provided to officers through Security America's Security Update, a bi-monthly publication covering a wide range of security and safety issues.
Prospective officers are highly scrutinized before they are hired. Each applicant’s background investigation and testing includes:
- a detailed employment application
- a literacy test
- a personality survey
- physical drug test (random testing of employed officers)
- employment history references
- criminal history report
- proof of age
- military service verification
- a two-tiered interview
Security America’s superior security officers are capable of responding quickly and appropriately to a variety of situations. For instance, an observant Security America officer was able to identify a group of employees stealing goods from their employer at a major industrial location, which led to their apprehension.
Security Officers Quality Assurance
Security America develops customized security procedures for each client's site and provides the supervised security force you need. A Security America account supervisor will consult with you regularly, submit daily reports, handle basic schedule changes, follow up on incident reports, conduct inspections and handle payroll for your officers.
We frequently conduct unannounced quality assurance visitations, which are documented and submitted to you. Our representatives will meet with you regularly to discuss any changes and recommendations. We constantly upgrade our management through national business seminars and industry-wide loss-prevention conferences. These aspects of our business practice assure quality service to you.
