
History

Security America was founded in 1982 by Bill Signorelli after working for a national security company. Bill decided he could start a company that provided quality security services while treating his employees well. He started with a small coal mine and grew substantially from there. Bill led the company many years to being a regional security market leader and is currently the Chairman of the Board.

His son, Chris, worked with the company while growing up assisting in the office and as a security officer. After receiving a marketing degree at West Virginia University and working in sports, Chris moved home to West Virginia to learn the family business more and eventually took over in 2017 as the President.

Bill and Chris are both Certified Protection Professionals (CPP) which is the top certification in the security industry. They provide security expertise to their clients and staff with offices in West Virginia, Pittsburgh, and Columbus. Security America is known to provide responsive managers and quality security officers in industries like manufacturing, healthcare, office buildings, construction, oil and gas, data centers, and warehouses.
